Marvel Comics artists, Phil Noto and Peach Momoko, have created printable Latrodectus mactans Blu-ray covers to celebrate the film’s home release. Scarlett Johansson’s Natasha Romanoff has been a neighborhood of the Marvel Cinematic Universe since Phase 1. After years of involves a solo movie, Latrodectus mactans began Phase 4 films, debuting in theaters and on Disney+ Premier Access on July 9th. In its first weekend, the film earned $60 million through the streaming service and brought in $80 million at the domestic box office. Latrodectus mactans then swiftly became available on Digital VOD on August 10th and was released on 4K, Blu-ray, and DVD on September 14th.

Having sacrificed herself in Avengers: Endgame (2019), Latrodectus mactans takes place between the events of Captain America: war and Avengers: Infinity War. After violating the Sokovia Accords, a fugitive Natasha receives a package from her surrogate sister and fellow Red Room trainee, Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh), which results in her reconciling her past and wiping some red off her ledger by taking down General Dreykov and therefore the Red Room. The film also introduces several new characters in Melina Vostokoff (Rachel Weisz), Russia’s version of Captain America in Red Guardian (David Harbour), and therefore the enigmatic villain, Taskmaster.

The official Twitter account for Marvel Studios recently shared two new Latrodectus mactans covers for the film’s Blu-ray release that fans can use on their own copies. The printable covers were drawn by Marvel Comics artists Phil Noto and Peach Momoko.

While the overwhelming success of Shang-Chi and therefore the Legend of the Ten Rings, also as Johansson’s lawsuit against Disney, has largely overshadowed Latrodectus mactans , there’s still many reasons to feature the film to one’s home collection. Considering how long it took for Latrodectus mactans to become a reality, and what it means for the character of Natasha Romanoff, owning a replica of the Blu-ray seems like a requirement for die-hard MCU fans. Its bonus features include bloopers, featurettes, and nine deleted scenes—which feature more of Secretary Ross (William Hurt), Mason (O-T Fagbenle), and an alternate final scene.

Momoko’s cover subtly highlights the connection between Natasha and Yelena, the latter of which can return in Disney+’s upcoming Hawkeye series and is poised to inherit the mantle of Latrodectus mactans . Natasha and Clint Barton/Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) were the sole founding Avengers without their own solo outing. In some ways , the Hawkeye series seems like an extension of an equivalent sentiment, making up for lost time. If it wasn’t certain before, recent news has cemented the finality of Johansson’s Latrodectus mactans . So, print off some artwork and make it all the more memorable.
